YEE London presents “Spirit of Istanbul” concert

The “Spirit of Istanbul” concert is being held in London to dedicated to honoring the centenary of the Republic of Türkiye. The concert will take place on 11 December 2023 at EarthH Theater in Hackney, London’s leading concert venue.

Yunus Emre Institute, London, is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated “Spirit of Istanbul” concert, a musical celebration featuring the extraordinary talents of renowned artists Göksel Baktagir (Qanun), Yurdal Tokcan (Oud), Derya Türkan (Kemenche), and Bülent Elmas (Percussion). This exceptional event is dedicated to honoring the centenary of the Republic of Türkiye.

Through the enchanting blend of qanun, oud, kemenche, and percussion, the ‘Spirit of Istanbul’ will resonate through the streets of London and Manchester this December, offering audiences a captivating experience of Turkish maqam music.
