World Travel Market (WTM), which brings together the world’s tourism giants, is setting a new record this year. The fair, which will be held from 4 to 6 November, will guide the new trends in tourism.
The World Travel Market (WTM), one of the world ‘s largest tourist gatherings, opens its doors for its 40th edition this year. WTM London 2019, to be held at the Excel London International Convention Centre from 4 to 6 November 2019, should be completed with a record level comparable to that of last year. Bringing together the global tourism industry, the trade show was held last year with the participation of 5,000 companies from 182 countries.51,000 people attended the fair, where industrial agreements worth £2.8 billion books have been concluded. The 2019 WTM is expected to set new records above these numbers.
Turkish companies will be present at the fair
As in previous years, WTM London will one more time see the participation of many Turkish companies in this year. The Association of Turkey Travel Agencies (TÜRSAB), will participate in the exhibition with a stand of 120 m2. The members of TÜRSAB who do not have stands at the fair but wishing to organize meetings will be free to use the TÜRSAB stands for meetings and business talks.
Izmir Development Agency, Belek Tourism Investor Association (BETUYAB) Titanic Hotels, MC Tourist Services, Diana Travel and OTI Holding will also have stands at the fair.
What is on the agenda for WTM 2019?
Wendy Olson Killion, Global Vice President of Expedia Group Media Solutions, will be a keynote speaker at the Fair. In her speech to be held the 5th of November speech at 4:15 pm, Killion will focus on the success of new technologies used in tourism; she will also focus on the needs of the customer. Travel Forward London, organized as part of WTM, will meet visitors as the first exciting event presenting technologies and start-ups that can be used in the travel industry.
On November 6th, the winners will receive the “Best of Social Media” awards for their national campaigns. At the WTM & Women in Travel event, featuring women leaders in the sector, participants will focus on entrepreneurship, mentoring, leadership, professional and personal development.
In the session entitled ‘’Travel Leaders Speak: UK Travel Markets – What to Expect in 2020’’ the state of national and international tourism of the country during the previous year will be evaluated and the effect Brexit is having and will have on the markets will be discussed.
