 Istanbul Modern Listed in National Geographic’s “Best of the World”

Istanbul Modern has made it onto National Geographic’s “Best of the World” list. Turkey’s first modern and contemporary art museum, Istanbul Modern, has been included in National Geographic’s “Best of the World” ranking.

Istanbul Modern was selected as one of the “Top 20 Cultural Venues” by the renowned editors of the world-famous magazine and deemed “worth traveling for”.

Among the “Top 20 Cultural Venues” list, which includes prestigious locations such as the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, the Molinere Underwater Sculpture Park in the Caribbean, the Genghis Khan Museum in Mongolia, and Battersea Park in London, Istanbul Modern’s new museum building, observation terrace, and the abstract paintings of Fahrelnissa Zeid in its collection are praised.

Istanbul Modern’s new museum building, designed by Renzo Piano, had recently been included in Architectural Digest’s list of “Great Works of 2024.
