Onur Sevigen brings a new hype to the Brits with Lambo

British musician Onur Sevigen is back with a new energetic hype and eastern instruments in his bag after spending two years away from the UK. While away Onur dived into his ethnic culture to be reborn again from the ashes of the pandemic.

His new single LAMBO is released on the 26th January 2024, Onur Sevigen introduces more eastern instruments like darbuka, davul and clarinet in his songs as opposed to the African based percussian to create and blend eastern sound to his unique western style and the beats in his new English songs. More tracks are also lined up to be released in the following months.

Previously known with his indie electronica/Brit pop sound, Onur in his upcoming songs showcases both eastern and western sonics mixed together with bilingual lyrics. These new songs, reflects both eastern and western cultures as well as Onur’s place within the two.

From the minute he burst onto the music scene with his debut single Beamin’ in 2018, Onur received attention from the media and well-known artists. With his unique sound Onur’s songs were picked up by the likes of Martin Garrix, Labrinth and Goldlink. Over the years he premiered on the Fader, appeared on BBC Radio London, Bloomberg TV, Hoxton Radio, as well as many magazines, like Fred Perry’s subculture. He had sold out shows in London and his single Beautiful Time almost reached 900K streams on Spotify.

When the pandemic hit the world ONUR was offered to produce for major Turkish pop singers. Inspired by his time in Turkey, ONUR ultimately wrote an album’s worth of material, covering “all the bases of the music this geography offers.” While away from UK Onur released 5 singles and two EP’s in the Turkish language, merging the British and Turkish heritage in his Turkish songs.
