Award Winners Announced at 2024 BFI London Film Festival

The 2024 BFI London Film Festival has revealed this year’s LFF Awards winners. The festival’s grand prize went to Adam Elliot’s stop-motion animation Memoir of a Snail from Australia.
Chosen by four prestigious juries, these films showcase groundbreaking talent from around the globe, highlighting a diverse range of themes and storytelling styles, from imaginative animation to powerful documentaries.

A visually powerful documentary about an Orthodox nun facing personal growth and resilience.

A revelatory look at the global underworld of academic essay-writing, focusing on the work of Oxford professor Patricia Kingori. - Short Film Award in Short Film Competition: Vibrations from Gaza by Rehab Nazzal
A reflective documentary on the lives of deaf Palestinian children in Gaza amidst ongoing conflict.Special Mention: Dragfox by Lisa Ott
A heartwarming stop-motion animation about a child and a fox embracing their identities.
Additionally, the Audience Awards return, allowing festival-goers to vote for their favorite narrative feature, documentary, and short film. Voting remains open until October 23, with winners announced at the end of October.
The festival concludes tonight with a screening of Memoir of a Snail, this year’s Best Film winner. The BFI Player will also offer the winning short film for free until the festival ends.
